How We Got Started

The Chamber actually started in 1917 as a Gentleman's Club where they discussed politics and community issues. In 1927 it was rebranded as The Hamburg Chamber to reflect its new mission, to represent the businesses and support community efforts. Now in 2019 The Chamber has taken on its next evolutionary step and is now The Southtowns Regional Chamber of Commerce, representing multiple WNY Southtown communities.

There are others way too though like getting involved in charity sponsors or volunteering with such groups or even with Chamber committees to gain visibility and enhance relationships... but attend those events and meet people so they can place a face with a company. At the very minimum you could take a member directory and send other members information as a fellow member or offer them a special because they belong to the same Chamber. Each Chamber has different initiatives and execution strategies so look at their websites and social media accounts to get a feel for how they do business and match up with what goals you have for yourself or your business.
