In my opinion, the best way to get people to remeber you is to be kind, positive, fully engaged AND be a great and active listener.  Look them directly in the eyes while they are speaking to you and LISTEN to what they are saying.  Build rapport.  Be sincerely interested in what they have to say.  If you can do that, they will remember you because you will be usually one of only a few who does that well.
