Hi Rick! I have worked with many real estate professionals over the years. We are finding that social is definitely one of the best avenues for realtors, however the basics are needed as well (website, listing on Google and other search engines etc). Recommendations are going to be huge for you on social media and if you are willing to put a bit of effort in, you don't need to spend a ton of money to do well on social.
