As a marketer who has planned a few successful launches, I can tell you it’s a successful marriage of online and offline tactics that work best. What is your biz? Is it mainly online or offline (you said ribbon cutting, so I’m going to assume offline)? Who are your ideal customers? And what is your budget? You’ll need to answer at least those questions before creating a successful launch strategy. But, some ideas that I’ve used in the past are: - cross promotional campaigns with other local businesses  - creating a promo flier and posting it everywhere and leaving stacks places like libraries, cafes, etc - free event listing online and in your weekly paper - online campaign (social posts, FB ads, Yelp Offer, Check in offers/promos, geotargeting campaigns, influencer partnerships, etc) Launching a store is major, as you know, ao you’ll also want to consider your timeline. I suggest starting to plan at least a month before, though I’ve done it in a week before. A huge congrats to you on your opening!!!

It confuses your brand to have both personal and business email addresses, plus you’ll lose important client communications with all the junk that gets sent to your personal email.  As for open rates, it most likely has to do with your subject line and the value of the content you provide as opposed to the address. Or are you seeing a large bounce rate?

If small businesses are not able to take advantage of these opportunities, it may be because they haven't found the right marketing person to show them how to do so.

I have been in Marketing for over 20 years, so that I'm able to really tailor a company's marketing needs to their mission and business goals. I've launched brands from the beginning, I've relaunched websites, I've also helped celebrity brands match their reach with a bottom line. Most of the time it includes web design and social media, but sometimes, it doesn't. I also have experience in PR. So, with me, it's literally a marketing/PR one-stop shop. I also price myself incredibly competitive because I believe that everyone deserves a hand in achieving their dreams for their brands and companies.

The answer will depend on your company, your target market, your ideal consumer, etc. Instagram is highly visual, so if you don't have time or resources to continually create and post fresh visual content, don't bother. You can repost/curate content, but the acceptance of that is much lower than FB. Examples include brand videos, stories, images, graphics, memes, etc. I see that you are a doTERRA consultant, so this should be relatively easy. It's also easier to reach your set target and get new followers, organically, on IG than FB. Facebook has become the go-to because it greatly helps with SEO, has every tool that you'd want/need (ads, business manager, workplace, business pages, groups, sales groups for your company, online store, etc), and most likely your ideal consumer will definitely be most active there. Again, you will need time to create fresh content, but unlike IG, you can also curate content here more often. Cons of IG: You need the time/resources to create branded, original content consistently, you'll need to research which hashtags are most successful to gain followers, the conversion rates are notoriously low. Cons of FB: Can be overly saturated/hard to cut through the noise, not able to increase organic followers as easily anymore, must pay to play, time consuming, community management, and changes in algorithms without warning. Hope that helps! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or check out my site to see if I can help: https://www.247sociallife.co.

(more) To be honest, your question is a bit vague, so my answer will have to follow suit. Two important questions to figure out: what is your target market and what is your budget? Without those two answers, it'll be a bit tricky to answer, but here it goes. First, after determining your target market, figure out where they hang out online. Younger people tend to shy away from Facebook and head towards Instagram or SnapChat. Professionals will be on LinkedIn. Moms, Crafters, Chefs, Bloggers tend to migrate to Pinterest. These are all very generalized. So, do some due diligence, create your ideal target and then, research what they do, what they eat, where they go, etc. You said you want to help clients create an app. Can you break that into an online course or workshops? This might help with lead generation and can act as a passive income stream for you. Once they're created, people can continue to pay for them and learn forever. If that's a possibility, see if you can partner up with online course programs such as Ideo, Coursera, or extended studies with universities. You should also create a website (though I'm sure you've already done that) to host workshops, blogs, etc. You'll need to refine your market, your message, mission, etc. If you haven't created a business plan, I highly suggest starting there and then, worrying about getting in front of people. Good Luck!

But, for a basic answer, I'd say engagement metrics via social, blog and website (shares, comments, likes, etc). If you can create an engaged community, it'll be easier to sell them on your services or products. Does it take longer to cultivate? Yes, but it's also easier, cheaper, more measurable and actionable than your other options.
