In our small community, no one charges for cabinetry design. Yes, we have our designs taken to our competitors and theirs are often brought to us. Because the standard in our community is complimentary design, we spend a lot of time focusing on our salesman ship, the bond we form with our builders of trust and reliability, as well as ensuring clients are educated about what we are really bringing to the table. If all you have with the client is a bidding war, the lowest price will always win. Our goal is to create more than a design, we see each client as a relationship. The truth is that it does not always work and the client takes our design and shops us. My perspective is perhaps those clients are not really "our ideal client." There are no easy answers to this. Charging for design could cost you some up front business, it may also ensure that your time is not under valued going into the process and that you are serving your ideal customer. Let me know how it works for you, I will be interested to see your outcome.

I feel like when people are just forward and tell you I would like to talk to someone who is charge of supply purchase, or marketing etc.. Instead trying to be tricky or get past the people viewed as lower in position. In our Company the honor you give to the person answering the phone is very important, often time its the President or the Director of Sales and Marketing. I really appreciate it when people call and ask for my time allowing me to make the decision if that should be an area I give time to in the current day. It is service based thinking and I am more willing to see or hear from them.

What I do believe is many millennials want the purchasing relationship to be as easy as shopping on-line. however still value the human component and care of a sales persons personal attachment to the outcome.
Developing quicker, streamline process, that is low on sales banter high on product delivery and quality while offering sincere caring connection seems to work for us in growing and maintaining of loyal millennials.

Plan, Plan, Plan! Our Company had explosive growth, and it didn't happen by accident. Seek to understand what is working and continue to recreate that. Profitable Growth is a huge indicator that you have found a sweet spot with something your doing. Lean into the growth, learn from what it is teaching you, and make a plan to continue. Hire gifted people who can support you in maintaining growth while staying true to the very thing that started your company on fire. Know the business of your business. Fear in the situation usually generates from a core fear related to not being sure how we just did what we did and how we are going to manage it. If you need to, get help. Trust me you wont regret it!

Doing this work is key and can be.. at times, painful. It is work worth pain not easy to say for some other "pain points" I have encountered in a family owned company.

In the building industry this is an area that is impacted by our current culture. In former years both members of the house hold or the "head" of the house would need to participate in the procurement and choice of items purchased for a home. In modern society, the decision maker and contract signer needs to be the legal owner of the property being remodeled or built. You must define clearly who is responsible for the invoice. Ultimately it is their final sign off that should protect you and ensure that you do not have confusion regarding the sale or who the final decision maker in the process is. It can be a tricky territory to negotiate for sure.

I believe the Best home supply stores and Service is found at local business. I prefer whenever possible to spend my money with local families and business. I have found that often local business carries a stronger commitment to the outcome of projects as their well being and longevity are deeply connected to getting it or making it right. Not all items may be available in our area, so understand sometimes we have to take alternate routes to get what we need. I guess it's safe to say for the most part I have always been an "out of the box" kind of shopper.

Typically success planning for Q4 is done far in advance of the Quarter. We do make a special effort during Q4 to say "Thank You" to our team mates and clients for the past year of work and partnership. We send cards, make calls and show up to donate and give back to the communities that give so much to us. In terms of our business we focus on strategic growth, budget, training and vision casting for the company and the team that makes it successful.

We understand the first moment we have with a potential client sets the bar for the experience they believe they may have. Making sure our team knows how to treat people with respect, kindness and appreciation from beginning to end, sets us apart immediately from those who share in our field. Our people are what open the door to be able to talk about products and prices. If the client is treated poorly being the cheapest wont matter. We have found that clients will work through problems graciously if they feel they have been cared about through the process and know you truly have their best outcome as the priority. Let your service open the door, your products and quality maintain and grow your reputation based sales. #setyourselfapart #homeisabeautifulplace @silvercitystonecabinetrytile www.silvercitysct.com
