About Us

According to direct mail marketing guru Dan Kennedy successful marketing depends on getting three elements in sync… Message, Market, Media. I completely agree. Like a three-legged table, lose just one leg and the whole thing comes crashing down.

The first thing you must get right before any of the rest of it? Your message!

That’s what I do, I’m a message specialist. All I do is make sure your advertising message is ready for prime time. I leave the rest up to media buyers and sales reps.

For 30 plus years on the radio I’ve been forced to get it right in short 60 second sound bites, over and over. That job got much tougher when I began working for agencies that specialize in buying remnant media schedules for their clients.

In terms of the advertising message, a remnant schedule is the absolute most difficult arena to advertise in because the air times or ad placements can be very erratic.

For most of my career I’ve worked almost exclusively in the remnant arena and I’ve built a long list of loyal media buyers and agency reps who keep coming back to me because I’ve learned how to get it done with consistency.

How have I done that? With My Magic Ad Formula! Many years of testing my ideas in the remnant radio world has proven to be the perfect long haul opportunity to create and evolve my now highly developed Magic Ad Formula.

The result has been consistent success!

I had to figure it all out on my own. And you should resign yourself to that reality in your efforts at becoming independent. In my experience most advice is given without true understanding of what you actually WANT for yourself, thus most well meaning advice is largely off the mark... SO... My advice to ME? Become an EXPERT at the one thing your clientele needs MOST. To that end... Set ONE goal and achieve it with laser like, steady, unceasing determination. Then set the NEXT goal... Lather rinse repeat... Ten Thousand hours later (Read Malcolm Gladwell's book, "Outliers; The Story Of Success") you will be the GO-TO GURU in your specialty. Then refine your skills continuously... Having followed my own advice, I now have no need to market myself... My clients all come to me, ...and... I'm doing quite nicely thank you very much. :)

I started out as a Radio DJ... then moved into radio commercial production (The job slot with the lowest turnover in a radio station) Then began thinking how I might build something that I could run off and do myself so I would no longer be dependent on a W-2 job... So, should I sell myself as a voice over talent? Not strong enough... TONS of competition... So how bout a voice guy + production guy? same problem PLUS most people have no idea what a production guy does! .. Then I decided to become a radio commercial copywriter and spend nearly a decade perfecting that skill before I even felt comfortable telling people my scripts were worth paying for... Once I LEAD my pitch with "I know how to make your phones ring like crazy" That's what did it.. I now work TONS of gigs involving ALL that stuff... All by word of mouth... In my area of expertise.. apparently there just aren't enough people who can write reliably successful ads AND voice them AND produce them!
