TLC Pet Cottage gives you a safe and happy place for your pet to vacation while you are away. We care for your pups as if they were our own.
TLC Pet Cottage wants you to be worry-free when you are away from your beloved pet. We will take care of them when you cannot. As pet owners ourselves we know how hard it is to be away from our furry friends. For short times away from home, do you cross your fingers and hope for the best? No! Now you can call TLC Pet Cottage for your dog’s vacationing needs! We only accept 10 guests at a time to assure you that your dog is getting the best care possible.
We will always keep your pets comfortable and happy. Do not be surprised if your “furkid” wants to stay longer! It is a pleasure for you to return home to find your pup is happy and healthy with a wagging tail. We welcome and encourage you to call and come out to visit with us prior to your pets stay

Lunch time usually works best for me. In the morning we are doing check in and check outs, feeding and watering dogs and getting them out to exercise and play. Afternoon I am back at the Cottage walking dogs and repeating our morning routine. I can usually sneak away for a lunch time gathering.

I commend them for looking into at opportunities for their dog. I always treat them as if they are a client already and 95% of the time I get the booking. I'm one of those "what you see is what you get" and it always works for me. Just treat them as I would want to be treated.

I have a FB page but no Instagram. Ive gotten a few clients from FB but most of my clients come from referrals from current clients and vet hospitals in the area. When I first started my pet sitting business 20+ years ago I went to all the local vet hospitals introduced myself to them with atleast 1 dozen donuts in hand! I also found advertising in the LOCAL paper worked very well. I also left a time sheet/log with every visit. On my last visit for that sit I left the log along with a Placemat (from Pet Sitter International) under the food and water bowls. I also left a Welcome Home card reminding them to call me when they got home so I knew the pet would be cared for. For 3 years I offered pet sitting and boarding (I now own a small kennel, we take 10 dogs at a time) 12 years ago I gave up the pet sitting side and now about 90% of my old clients come and board their dogs with me! Give it time. Do you offer Mid-day Walks" that's where many of my clients came from and mid -days are $$ you can count on!
