Some will do it for free if they are a customer.

I can report first hand that it can happen.  My 35 year old son went to work February 23rd and did not come home.  He passed away from an industrial accident on February 24th 2016. He left behind an 18 month old child and did not have a will.  He was not married.  Everything goes to the minor child by law but the child's mom is the administrator/executrix. There was a house he had prior to their relationship and several vehicles, 401 k and other assets. In being a member of several Grief Support Groups, it happens all the time.

If you are going to have a small business and choose to set up a DBA(Doing Business As)-Assumed Name, you do not have to get a Tax ID. You can set the Assumed Name up with the Civil Court that has jurisdiction over the address you will operate out of. You can get an EIN if you prefer. Once they log on you can mark anything new with a colorful flag. We maintain very close communications with our clients so sending them an informative email to tell them about the changes and the enhancements that they will see. In the past we have added verbiage to the clients statements telling them of a new enhancement. If it is something really big, you can always go the old route and send out a colorful postcard type mailing.
