How We Got Started

So, our story starts with the adoption of Mayble. A very abused and neglected boxer who we soon find out has a wheat and corn allergy. She did not like any of the treats from the store, so we began our journey. Finally deciding fruits and veggies would be the way to go, with the natural sweeteners in them, and then the idea is born how fun would it be to be able to start a doggie bake shop. Cookies without the preservatives, wheat or corn to give people the options I could not seem to find in the store. A healthy homemade treat my dog would actually eat and enjoy. Since working years in the vet field and seeing more and more pets come in and be diagnosed with food allergies and owning one myself. I knew the frustration of wanting to give a treat like all the others but wanting them to enjoy and get excited for it as well.

I started my business because my rescue dog was allergic to wheat and corn and she didn't like the treats I could get her ( which were like 3 different kinds of biscuits at the stores near by) so I started making her some she liked. That's when I noticed there wasn't much out there that others made that she could have either, and at least I knew what was in the ones I made as well as being able to pronounce all the ingredients. So it took a while to get it going. I also decided since she was a rescue why not give a portion of the sales each month to a different rescue group since they can always use the extra help and there are so many animals out there that need it. So thus the journey began while I was still working a full time job some times even a full and part time job. It was slow going but has started to pick up. I wont lie there were times where I had thought maybe I should just give it up and go back to working a regular job and just throwing in the towel and accepting that I dumped a lot of money and failed, and how at least 1/4 to 1/2 of the money I was making working was going to the bake shop bills/start up,  but then I would look back over things and from where I started to where I was at the time and say well there is progress and dog treats are not the easiest market to compete in and stuck with it. So things have progressed more and more each year and eventually I will see my dream shop and park come true one day. The more I have explained the shop and park I want to the customers when I am out at events and all the more it seems like a reality that will be one day. I guess in the long run the idea of failing completely fueled me to push harder as well as that supper stubborn streak I seem to have when anyone says I cant do something ( example: you wont be able to do good at _____) I feel the need to prove them wrong and prove to myself I can do it. So even me having my doubts thinking to myself I will never get this business up and going steady made me prove myself wrong in the long run and prove to myself I can do it.

Sorry that link  was suppose to be for a different question.  For your question I suppose it would depend on what you already had going. I personally do not have a store front yet so that would be where I would start.
