We make all natural soaps, lotions and lip balm, and more right here in Hudsonville, Mi. And now we are starting to carry 100% Soy candles. Also all out products are made in a small local business and so being small are able to respond quickly to new ideas or even solving problems quickly.

Hi my name Dale of Dale's Handmade Soaps & More, I started my business in 2013 and it has been growing ever since. I am married to my lovely wife Christi for 42 years and have 3 married children and now 2 fun pups. My ideal customer would be someone who is interested in handmade from scratch, natural products not full of ingredients you can't pronounce, and is looking for skin products that are inexpensive and work well. I love the feedback from my customers and many of my products have come from suggestions or ideals they have brought to my attention.

We do not have a holiday stroll, but we do have several events that bring out shoppers. One of them being a tree lighting event in the end of November that brings lots of people, and most the time the stores are open during the event, and we do have a Christmas parade and we do some fall things...

I do not offer free shipping on a regular basis as I keep my prices low and so for me to offer free shipping on top of low prices I would go out of business. I do on occasion offer free shipping as part of a promotion.

I think online stores like Amazon will dominate in the future but there still will be room for brick and mortar stores as some people still like to be able to touch, and feel, and smell what they purchase and especially in my line of work which is cosmetics or soaps and lotions and candles

For my business It cannot be just one single thing, you need to have multiple systems, so word-of-mouth is a huge contributor, also I promote on Facebook once a week I run weekly specials that I show on Monday morning and then I run occasional google advertisements.
