(more) In my experience majority of people find that plant based nutrition requires a full blown lifestyle change to Vegetarianism or Veganism.  Although there is certainly a need for more plant based based protein, especially in the Standard American Diet (SAD) I believe there needs to be a balance from the perspective of plant based nutrition.  With that said I am going to focus on the vegan lifestyle for the remainder of this post.  I agree with Joan Kent below in that "For those who won't eat animal products of any kind, I recommend plant protein powders. Examples include hemp, brown rice or pea protein, and of course vegetable protein powders."  I also agree with Eileen Schutte that "More and more genomic research is showing that a total plant based diet (vegan) is not a good thing for some of us that have slight genetic variances that affect our ability to absorb and metabolize certain nutrients."  With our offering of genetic based nutrition I find that more vegan lifestyle individuals have one copy of the normal gene and one copy of the gene with the variant allele. This is not associated with a significantly increased requirement for B12.  As stated above that Vitamin B12 is found naturally only in animal-derived foods such as shellfish, meat, and eggs. Plant foods have no vitamin B12 unless they are fortified with some form of vitamin B12. A vegan diet will likely require supplementation.   Possible side effects for people who do not get enough vitamin B12 include feeling tired or have a lack of energy. Prolonged deficiency can lead to anemia, memory loss, and other neurological problems.  Low folate can exacerbate symptoms of B12 deficiency – it is good to take a vitamin B complex with folate if your folate levels are expected to be reduced.   Another issue I see the need to address is how to supplement B12, if necessary.  If the need to supplement with B12 arises, a quality supplement in the form of a sublingual (under the tongue) tablet or an intramuscular injection will bypass the gut and avoid any potential malabsorption issues.  Recommended daily intake of vitamin B12 Adult males and females: 2.4 mcg

(more) I believe that there is certainly a need for health insurance as a tool for employee retention.  With that in mind, I believe there is also a need for a complimentary piece, specifically concierge wellness.  The reality is most companies need a concierge wellness platform that holds the hand of the employee thru the most difficult part of understanding and utilizing their medical benefits.  To put this in context here are several examples.  The rising cost of healthcare is becoming insurmountable as the average cost of 1.  Insuring an overweight individual, which is 74% of individuals, is over $1400.  2.  Smokers, 15% of people, can cost over $2100, 3.  33% are diabetic or pre-diabetic and that can cost in excess of $5300.  All of these are precursor diseases that can lead to one of the most expensive medical costs of the Heart Attack that can cost an average of $760,000 based on the CDC from the date of the heart attack to their one year follow up visit.  The reality is majority of our employees are being handed an unlimited credit card in the form of their benefits card with no idea how to utilize them.  If you are interested in learning more please be sure to reach out to me.

(more) Hello everyone.  Great question but I think there is one thing that needs to be taken into account before determining the ideal exercises or eating choices that an individual makes.  That is the determination of the EPIgenetic dispositions that the individuals body dictates.  For example I have a colleague that cut carbs and sugars and did the non-GMO, gluten free lifestyle for 7 years while doing crossfit regularly 3-4 times a week for 1-2 hrs per session and regardless of what the experts told her and her good decisions she continually gained weight.  Once she got tested based on epigenetic factors she found out for her to loose weight her genetic predisposition was for 10 minute high endurance exercise at a maximum no more than 3 times a week and that she had to consume carbs.  By making these #goodsmalldecisions she went from gaining weight to loosing 30 lbs in a few short months.   Therefore, I think getting tested from a epigenetic platform that also provides the solution to the unique nutritional gaps to the individual should be the first step in determining what types of healthy eating choices and exercise programs a person should pursue.  If curious about such a platform I am available to answer any questions.  Please send me a private message.

(more) I have to be honest here.  One of the first things that I believe keep sustainable habits as becoming part of our routines is simplicity.  Most people aren't aware or willing to do what is required to make the long term benefit given the instant gratification society we live in.  From that perspective, most companies are more worried about there bottom line revenue over the long term implications to peoples wellbeing and most people in our space don't take the time to educate there patients/clients on the detriment of there choices while also providing a simple solution to the problem.   Another pressing issue however is the lack of a solution, prior to now, that takes into account the individuals unique factors while addressing the environmental factors that can effect peoples choices.  We have all heard of genetic or blood based solutions for people.  The problem with most of these  are genetics are more and more effected by environmental factors and blood based is a snap shot of a moment in time.  We all know that blood based panels are going to read completely different after a celebratory meal such as thanksgiving, or christmas, or easter vs when fasting, as an example.  This is why there has to be a customized platform that takes EPIgenetic factors to address environmental factors while delivering a SIMPLE SOLUTION based on these multiple factors.

(more) First is this in regards to personal things that need to be done at home or professionally? My answer is going to be in regards to the professional side.  A colleague of mine actually came up with this and has proven to be quite beneficial to his bottom line.  Find an accountability partner that is willing to hold the stakes in case you don't meet your goals.  For example in order to grow any business you need new contacts.  Therefore, his goal is to set 3 new appointments to get to know people on a daily basis.  These contacts have to be new.  If he doesn't set 3 appointments every day he has to pay his accountability partner $50 / day and at the end of the month/quarter/year (determined by you and your accountability partner) that money goes towards a non-profit of your choosing.  This incentives you to not have to pay the $50 per day and forces you to accomplish your goals.  Please understand that the dollar amount is determined by you.  It doesn't have to be $50 but it does need to be high enough that it incentives you to meet your goal.  Hope this helps!!

To leave one component out of your business plan is to potentially be leaving millions of dollars of value and revenue on the table. I am not sure what you are meaning by online vs virtual. I certainly believe that the cornerstone of your marketing effort should be a blog as you, if correctly setup, own your blog and have no ownership in any other digital platform. The content you focused on social media companies discretion with no recourse for you. On the other hand, to ignore FacebOk and Instagram is to be limiting your reach by billions. I would love to sit down down and show you a strategy that could benefit your marketing strategy
