About Us

Pit Stop Pit Bull Rescue Transport was started in February of 2014 with one primary goal - Help Save Lives. After working as a volunteer for 5 years for other shelter and rescue groups we found it was time to venture out on our own to help fill some of the gaps we had seen.

Since the recession in late 2006 shelters and rescues continue to struggle to make ends meet often having to make some very tough decisions. Our goal is to provide support services to the shelters and rescues of North Florida and South Georgia.

These services not only include transport services from kill shelters to rescues located throughout the East Coast of the U.S, but also medical, boarding, and training sponsorships.

In addition, we provide community service support to shelters to allow them to some of the nice to haves they are unable to attain due to limited funding. Our goal is to complete at least one community service project per year.

I can understand the emergency phone call as I work in IT, however I find it rude behavior to not pay attention and check email or Facebook for that matter while in meetings.  Unfortunately I have found even asking people to put them on silent doesn't work.  As a person in a leadership position I feel it's important to lead in this area and make sure you show others the courtesy of paying attention.

Although this question has nothing to do with dog rescue, I found it interesting and have relationships with sales people in my professional career. What I would ask from Sales people is to do a little research on your potential customers instead of including us on every email blast or call list. If an RFP has been released within the last 12-18 months where we bought a similar product, chances are we aren't in a position to make a change right now. Also, when dealing with government entities realize 50%+ of the evaluation is going to be on cost. Be prepared to sharpen your pencils. Last, once you make the "big sale" don't forget about your customer....we remember your customer service after the sale.
