I am second generation chiropractor. My father has always been my image of a chiropractor. Always striving to learn and do better for his patients. Chiropractic isn't what you do, it is how you live and breathe in life. That is why chiropractors never seem to retire, like my father, still going strong after practicing for 57 years now. (Or maybe it's the healthcare he gets from his son(in practice 29 yrs.))

I would look at his staff and patient reviews prior to meeting the doctor. I expect a friendly and professional environment in the office. I would also expect the doctor to be able to answer a reasonable number of questions without wanting to run out of the...

I would look at his staff and patient reviews prior to meeting the doctor. I expect a friendly and professional environment in the office. I would also expect the doctor to be able to answer a reasonable number of questions without wanting to run out of the room. It is a given that the doctor has empathy and stays on top of changes in wholistic/alternative healthcare. Listen to your gut instinct, if the doctor doesn't seem right for you, then find another healthcare provider.
We offer both types of care to our patients, some patients want only acute care for various reasons. My job is to educate the patient and give them the best care possible for whichever care they choose. Usually, the patient under long term care will have less acute care over their lifetime and...

We offer both types of care to our patients, some patients want only acute care for various reasons. My job is to educate the patient and give them the best care possible for whichever care they choose. Usually, the patient under long term care will have less acute care over their lifetime and improved health than patients opting for pain relief only. The stress of practicing is less when your day isn't filled with all acute patients that are in extreme pain. The added benefit to long term patients is that they tend to be like family and friends, especially when you start seeing multiple generations in a family. I have been practicing 29 years, my father, 56 years.

The business I miss most is Barnes & Noble(they lost their lease). I enjoy browsing new releases in multiple genres. We still have Downtown Book & Toy, but they don't have near the inventory that Barnes & Noble does. I prefer to shop locally for my books, but sadly Amazon picks up most of the...

We typically have a basket of healthy and less than healthy treats throughout the day ( we close at 6pm).
The staff likes to dress up for Halloween, we usually let them decide and majority rules....

If you are referring to post-grad hours to maintain state licenses, in Missouri you need 48 hours, broken down between actual seminars, on-line, and in-house studying, with an additional 12 hour class/seminar to keep your Meridian Therapy (acupuncture) license.

Yes, measuring by computer is more accurate. It's getting to be a moot point anyway, with the large majority of x-ray machines being digital. Having actual film to mark on is getting antiquated. However, I think it is important to be trained in the "old school" hands on methodology, even when...

A mobile chiropractor is a doctor who either has a mobile office (RV), practices like a concierge doctor and goes to patient, or makes house calls/stops at work-sites. I would say very uncommon here in the mid-west.
