Pathways recovery center is a dual diagnosis program that offers comprehensive treatment for alcoholics and drug addicts who have had any trauma or mental illnesses before, during or after their active addition. We specialize in alcohol and drug addiction , but we offer a program for those who have a diagnosis beyond their control. We believe that alcoholics and addicts drink or use as a way of coping with experiences, memories or events that emotionally overwhelm them. Even if they were taught the proper coping skills, they may come to rely upon the instant gratification of drugs and alcohol in place of dealing with the issues at hand.

Our program is designed to provide immediate high quality treatment for alcohol and drug addiction by appointing the patient to a professional therapist in conjunction with a psychiatrist within the first 24 hours of being in our facility. The patient will then get a psychological evaluation by our doctor and a bio-psych-social by our therapist in which they will be given a treatment plan that suites their individual needs and prescribed medication if needed. Once the client is cleansed from drugs and alcohol mentally and physically, healthy adaptive skills can be taught so that the therapist and client can begin to explore the issues that led to the addiction. Our therapist, who specializes in in drug and alcohol addiction, along with trauma, depression, bipolar and PTSD, will help the patient set short term goal’s to empower them. Together, the client and the therapist will work on setting long term goals that include mending damaged relationships, accepting responsibility and releasing guilt. Our facility is focused on modifying maladaptive behavior and feel that it is important to employ our clients with new coping strategies, so they can go on to lead fruitful productive lives .
