After fully evaluating a patient via consultation,history,examination and appropriate diagnostic testing; an adjustment can be performed via many different Manuel techniques. With the primary goal of restoring normal nerve function and spinal biomechanics and alignment; adjustments can be performed with varying amounts of force from very mild and gentle to increased speed. Adjustments can be performed with adjusting tools, fulcrums, pressure; most techniques are manual. Providing the appropriate adjustment to the specific patient is where a doctors skill, experience and art come into play; based on patient need, findings, co-morbidities and complaints. Patients should ask questions, review a doctors CV and experience and ask about previous experience with specific complaints.
It cost more and takes more time to process a new patient. The education process etc. In todays time it is more challenging to get new ones and more costly.
