Fortunately, I have another source of income to fall back on, however, I have been offering "Front Porch Family Photos" for FREE to people who live around me. All arrangements are taken care of online and when the time comes, I pull up in front of their house, call them, the family comes out and I direct them from the street into different poses. I also carry with me a portable strobe with enough capacity to reach about 20' should I need to add a little extra lighting. I never violate the "safe distancing" rules, nor the gathering of more than 10 people in one place, unless that family has more than 10 and they are already living together. NO outside family members can join. NO friends of the family can join. Just the people living inside the house.
When I'm finished, I upload their photos to an online gallery and they can download as much as they want. If they want prints, there IS a small charge for that to cover expenses. I also tell them that since it's free, I would like them to consider, only consider, making a small donation to the United Way campaign that was headed by the Hall Family Foundation here in Kansas City, Missouri. I would suggest finding something similar wherever you are and direct people's eyes towards them. The link to the story is https://www.lisc.org/kansas-ci...
