What preparations are you making for when employees return to your workplace as stay-at-home orders are lifted?

Our employees are still hard at work as front line cleaning technicians. I'm more concerned with practices that center around returning to the workplace and disinfection cleaning that or may not be done.
If you re in a situation that would require a disinfection being done through a risk assessment or by having a confirmed case some guidelines should be followed so that any work you have done to your workplace prior to re-opening is done properly with specific processes and procedures being followed.
Spending money to have work done but having the company do the work without policies, procedures and validation in place can give a false sense of security and could be dangerous to your returning employees.
Our processes look like this:
Risk assessment - What areas have been affected / Public access / employee access / Specific touch points both high and low to name but a few things that should be included in a risk assessment document
Scope of work - What is being done where and why is it being done then document
Procedures & policies - Entry / exit procedures / PPE education and training documentation
Equipment & materials - what equipment is being used and why / how will this equipment provide the overall best solution / what type of disinfectant is being used and why / Proper dwell times recorded and followed / documentation of all the above
Validation - How is the work being validated / what documentation is provided for the validation / what is the risk levels after disinfection has been performed.
If someone says they can "disinfect" your place of business its important to make sure that the company doing the work can answer these questions and more to provide to you with proper peace of mind and more than just a false sense of security.
