(more) I am always on the hunt for information on my competition, its fantastic information to have that allows you to see your market and what it will/can bear as price points. If you don't know what your competition is doing/charging how do you know what you may be leaving on the table or why you are not growing as fast. There's a reason they call it industrial espionage,,, its because they are doing research lol. I would start if you are not doing it

I am able to take weekends off although there are some weekends where I might work and hour or two. Our employees are still hard at work as front line cleaning technicians. I'm more concerned with practices that center around returning to the workplace and disinfection cleaning that or may not be done. If you re in a situation that would require a disinfection being done through a risk assessment or by having a confirmed case some guidelines should be followed so that any work you have done to your workplace prior to re-opening is done properly with specific processes and procedures being followed. Spending money to have work done but having the company do the work without policies, procedures and validation in place can give a false sense of security and could be dangerous to your returning employees. Our processes look like this: Risk assessment - What areas have been affected / Public access / employee access / Specific touch points both high and low to name but a few things that should be included in a risk assessment document Scope of work - What is being done where and why is it being done then document Procedures & policies - Entry / exit procedures / PPE education and training documentation  Equipment & materials - what equipment is being used and why / how will this equipment provide the overall best solution / what type of disinfectant is being used and why / Proper dwell times recorded and followed / documentation of all the above Validation - How is the work being validated / what documentation is provided for the validation /  what is the risk levels after disinfection has been performed. If someone says they can "disinfect" your place of business its important to make sure that the company doing the work can answer these questions and more to provide to you with proper peace of mind and more than just a false sense of security.

Being busy is good if that busy is being organized, being productive and knowing where you will make the best investment of your time and energy. (more) Being busy is good if that busy is being organized, being productive and knowing where you will make the best investment of your time and energy. Prioritization is the key to success, it allows focus on what moves you forward AND keeps your clients happy because they don't see a burned out person controlling their project. If you are busy putting out fires and being busy doing the wrong choices of work or priorities we call it spinning out! A good way to stop the cycle is create systems to work from, same way every time all the time. This allows for better planning of your days, the work it includes and stops the fireman in you while leaving your clients content in the fact that someone is taking care of something that they have little to no idea to accomplish alone. Remember that's why they hired you in the first place so be prepared, confident and show your client that you are in calm control of what may be the biggest project of their lives.

Advertising is the top of mind marketing you do to maintain that "oh I need" that level of customer awareness of your product or service. The local chamber, local home builders association, the local construction association, the local BNI chapter, local DBIA, all of these and more have committees that you need to join to meet new people. Help your community and eventually it helps you, be apart of what's... (more) So many, where to start. The local chamber, local home builders association, the local construction association, the local BNI chapter, local DBIA, all of these and more have committees that you need to join to meet new people. Help your community and eventually it helps you, be apart of what's happening and people begin to see the fact that you are there with them and eventually they will ask "what do you do" Be a chamber board member, become a president of an association,,, get out there. Never be pushy always ask the people you meet what do you do and then try to help that person I'm a big believer in KARMA and it always comes back ten fold. 26 years in business and not a lot of money spent on advertising
