Personally for me the first Goto app is Microsoft Teams.   It contains my calendar, keeps me connected to my team mates and contains all the company updates I need to get my day started.   From there it would be Outlook for business email.  Most used however, is definitely MS Teams.   If you’re... Personally I use LinkedIn, Facebook and Alignable.  To compare all of them together is tough.   Many SOHO businesses post their info on Facebook, so I have a Facebook page so I can reach that market.   For very large business or to get a broad network I use LinkedIn.    For the best bang, dollar... (more) Personally I use LinkedIn, Facebook and Alignable.  To compare all of them together is tough.   Many SOHO businesses post their info on Facebook, so I have a Facebook page so I can reach that market.   For very large business or to get a broad network I use LinkedIn.    For the best bang, dollar for dollar, Alignable is proving to be an excellent way to focus on connecting with local business.  So the messaging is different for each platform.   I liken it a fisherman’s tackle box.   Each lure is used to catch fish, but depending on what and where you are fishing you will use a different lure.  If you’re only casting your networking line in one networking “lake” you may be catching the sweet bass but could be missing out on the big bluefin.

In the mobile telecommunications industry, we hear this every single day.  My response to clients is simple - what are you getting for the lower price?  I have learned in many cases that cheaper doesn't always equal better.   If you get to a point where the price gets too low, the person offering... (more) In the mobile telecommunications industry, we hear this every single day.  My response to clients is simple - what are you getting for the lower price?  I have learned in many cases that cheaper doesn't always equal better.   If you get to a point where the price gets too low, the person offering the service or product isn't going to be making any money and how much effort do you think they will be putting in to keep your business?   Price isn't everything.  It's very cliche but what you want to show and offer, and what the client should be looking for as well, is value.   Do not under value what you bring to the table.   I agree with Wiebke Wilkens in her statement - you do get what you pay for - OR - you pay for what you get.   At some point you have to call their bluff.  If they really are getting a better price - let the competitor lose money.  When the service drops, you can bet the client will be searching for a better alternative.  Be that better alternative.
