About Us
Specializing in assisting our clients foster a compliant workplace with both health and safety programs and employment standards consulting services. An approved provider of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Health and Safety Excellence program (HESp), Chief Prevention Officer (CPO) approved Training Provider for the suite of Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification courses and an IHSA Training Partner for Working at Heights.
How We Got Started
The founder and owner, Wiebke K. Wilkens established her own firm and has the following experience to share with her clients:
Over Thirty-five years of progressively responsible experience with the Public and Educational Sectors, specializing in Program delivery within the Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Environmental Legislation and Employment Standards areas, including Enforcement, Mediation, Policy and Program Development and Delivery.

Like many other organizations, we have had to adjust our service delivery models. We are doing more virtual meetings and over the telephone consultations. We continue to provide in person courses providing participants with the learning experiences they cherish, all while providing for social distancing and safe work practices through the use of masks, person hygiene practices and the use of hand sanitizers.
Certainly a different world for all of us but we are receiving very positive feedback from all of our clients both old and new.

In making rehiring choices, I am strongly encouraging employers to look at the skill sets that their employees have and bringing those employees with the strongest skills back first, to ensure that their businesses are ready to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as we slowly reopen our province.

At our company we have been assisting our clients in many ways, depending on the sector that they are in. We have created easy to follow fact sheets on what needs to be in place from an employer, supervisor and worker perspective to stay safe and provide a safe working environment while at work.
We have been advising employers on how to return employees who have been on temporary lay off back to work and to also use this time in a constructive manner to identify a business's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as they slowly reopen. Now is a good time to take a look at your business' core services. Are they still relevant?, Do we need to make adjustments as we embrace the new reality.
I would be happy to assist any current and new clients in any way that my team can assist them manage and maneuver these very challenging times.

Helping clients understand their options in these difficult times has been the main focus as well as preparing clear COVIT-19 Pandemic policies for them to implement. Negative reviews on the web can be the result of a few things. I would recommend responding in a tactful and honest manner, thanking the person for their feedback and indicating that you would take their feedback and investigate their concerns. As a health and safety consultant I normally receive concerns raised due to the complexity of what I have recommended for a client's workplace, often taking them through the legal requirements and how we can make the solution fit their workplace better works wonders.
2019 has been a year of ups and downs in my extended family. If anything 2019 has re-taught me to live each day to the fullest, do your best and ensure that you enjoy what you do both professionally and personally.

Also, being compliant with the legislation can sometime be overwhelming and people are at first reluctant to invest in setting up the systems needed. Once implemented though they see the financial and non financial benefits.

Not to mention my knowledge and years of experience in interpreting the legislation for my clients. My team and I excel at atracting and retaining our clients and in the end our clients support us, knowing that our knowledge, commitment and assistance provided to them is invaluable.

Definitely! Although I have been in the health and safety and employment standards compliance field for over 30 years, I continue to enjoy this area immensely. I started by consulting practice after having worked as an enforcement officer and as the lead Director in the broader public sector. With 15 years experience in the enforcement field and implementing programs at a large employer, I wanted to share my knowledge and expertise with the small to medium size business owner. Eighteen years later, I have assisted many clients implement programs to be in compliance with this ever more complicated area. Each day I go home with the knowledge that my team and I have assisted our clients by assisting them understand the legislation, making their workplaces safer and enabling them to make sense of, what can at time be confusing regulatory requirements.
