I fell in love with photography because it can show how beautiful small things, like flowers, really are. I print a lot of my pictures on Japanese Washi Paper, a partly translucent paper which has Mulberry fibers running through it. A lot of my pictures of botanicals also look translucent. Some of my picture look best printed large so that it will be a focus point in a room.
I have always appreciated the incredible beauty in our natural world, and photographing that is my way of preserving that for others to see. I use a DSLR for most of my photography, because I love the clarity of detail I can get with a macro lens. I am also exhibited in the Moraga Art Gallery, and have had multiple shows in other places. My photography has won major awards, including 2nd place in the Triton Museum. where I had a show. My photography has been collected on both coasts.
