About Us

Our Mission is to educate our clients while providing exceptional holistic and traditional veterinary care and service. We will accomplish this as a team with compassion, respect, and integrity for our patients and their families.

We are a full service holistic veterinary hospital serving Laguna Beach and surrounding communities since 1965. We primarily see dogs and cats.

How We Got Started

Dr. Gordon had retired when approached by Dr. Gary Gauthier to take over this cute little clinic in Laguna Beach. Dr. Gordon jumped at the chance and has gone back to his roots, so to speak, in providing the best of holistic and traditional pet care.

If I know a client has had a good experience and has voiced that opinion to me, I just ask them if they would not mind reviewing us on Google and Yelp. Most are happy to do so, a few say that they are never on those sites, but as long as I have asked, I feel I have made the effort. The client and the pet always come first. We have a mission statement. When you are in doubt about how to handle any situation, follow your mission statement. Pet owners can budget for routine wellness care (annual physical exams, vaccinations, fecal and heartworm tests, heartworm and parasite preventatives), but do these pet owners have a "pet emergency" fund when their pet has a serious illness or accident? That is where veterinary care gets expensive. We talk to pet owners ad nauseum about getting pet insurance for their furry friends, but only 5% of pet owners have a pet insurance policy. This should be their top priority, in my opinion.
