The only thing I expect is for everyone to be an adult and decide for themselves what is best for themselves, and take the measures they feel are safe for them. That and mutual respect is all I ask.  (more) The only thing I expect is for everyone to be an adult and decide for themselves what is best for themselves, and take the measures they feel are safe for them. I have always offered distance session with Skype or Zoom so this won't change. I will begin offering in person sessions out of the clinic soon, but will give my clients the option of online if they are not comfortable in person. I still do that, but I found that my narrowing my focus and having a specialty, in my case, its gut health and mental wellness, that that helps others find me better and sets me a bit apart from others who may just do general nutrition consulting or functional medicine.

Most people that come to see me have already been working with their conventional doctors and are looking for a more long-term solution to their wellness. I work their doctor's recommendations as often the client is on medications, so it is my job to support their wellness as best I can regardless of their situation. But most often, the client themselves are looking for something other then a band-aid approach, so that is where I assist them. I find it interesting that alot of people call conventional (modern) medicine, "traditional" as this form of medicine has only been practiced for a small percentage of the time that "traditional, holistic" medicine has...I hope one day we come to a place in our healthcare where both conventional and holistic can work together to best support people. Both are needed.

Charge upfront. When I did my first talk, I have 12 people sign up. Only 3 showed . Next time I charged a small fee and had a full house. Same with consultations. I charge upfront, that makes people more accountable for what they signed up for :) (more) Charge upfront. When I did my first talk, I have 12 people sign up. Only 3 showed .
