If you are going to try and do it yourself know that people will know it's an amateur video even if they don't know why they know it. If you are a professional then you always need to LOOK professional and present professional, no matter how many times you have to do it. That's where hiring a pro videographer will help. They can get you relaxed and in the zone for your best performance.

The average person doesn't know how to properly judge quality. To some of them a cell phone photo is just as good as one from a high end DSLR. Viewing at a small size like on a cell phone screen, you can see why. They know nothing about lighting or composition. We have to point out and display the differences to them. Educate them on quality. I usually tell people to ask the photographer what mode he shoots with on his camera. If it's AUTO then they don't know what they're doing. I have a short list of questions I give clients to determine if the photographer know hows to use the camera or not. These include composition and lighting questions.

I'm a photographer/artist and would be happy to talk to you about some art for your office. At the same time, as others have said, support your local artist as you would have them support you. If you want something different try the standard size with rounded corners. It files and stores the same way but stands out a bit. (more) If you want something different try the standard size with rounded corners. It files and stores the same way but stands out a bit.

There are lots of crowdfunding ones but you might look at Patreon.com. It's a bit different. You provide your subscribers with something and in return they pay a monthly subscription fee. I just started and haven't quite finished my profile yet so I'm by no means a good source for questions.... (more) There are lots of crowdfunding ones but you might look at Patreon.com. But going to someone who calls themselves a "professional" doesn't always mean they know how to really operate a camera, pose the client to present them best, and set lighting for that client and not use the generic lighting they use for everyone because they don't know how to change it. There a re a lot of great photographers out there but even more impostors. If you want a great head shot, do some research and find someone whose portfolio includes more than the sit there and smile shot. Never do a selfie though. Those are usually done with wide angle views which distort your face. Be realistic about what you look like. Selfies are unprofessional.
