Customers and clients seem to have an urgency to visit my business, as if my business will soon be unavailable to them for a second round of closings. I think they’re fearful that my business will be closed again, or worse yet, that my business will collapse due to rising operation costs and inability to support itself. While permanent closure is extremely unlikely a scenario, I can understand while clients and customers would be concerned.

I have had networked remotely for years, since cell phones and texting became the cornerstone of doing business. In the early years, I had a pager. Now that I’m only open by appointment, much of the consultation process and aftercare maintenance is done remotely. There are half-a-dozen up to ten different ways customers can contact me when I’m not in the shop. The trick is the balance between personal time and servicing your customers with quickest efficiency.
Much of my client base is grown by word of mouth and referrals from the local medical community, as surprising as that sounds in my line of work.
