I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in adaptively processing traumatic events with people of all ages, through use of EMDR protocols, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, sand tray therapy and other modalities..

How We Got Started

I began my career as a teacher, special educator, education consultant, therapist, mediator and HR Trainer. I now have an exclusive Therapy practice specializing in adaptive processing of traumatic events resulting in reduction of anxiety, panic and distress. I also work with couples in conflict and work as a mediator for those in the process of creating parenting plans in the midst of family changes.

(more) For those who are experiencing extremely high anxiety, I engage clients in a form of EMDR therapy using a drawing protocol.  If you have an e-mail, I can send the worksheet and facilitate the session via Zoom, Facetime, or telephone.  EMDR is an evidence based therapy for adaptively processing information related to an exceptionally disturbing event ( I think this one qualifies!)  Often current situations trigger anxiety from similar ones in our past and this is a wonderful way to address and "invite your brain" to process the current experience so that anxiety symptoms reduce.
