Beach Cities Tutoring is a premier tutoring agency that provides one on one and small group tutoring online and in person for ALL subjects including test prep for students PreK-Grad School. Beach Cities Tutoring is locally owned and operated by a South Bay Special Education teacher. We do not offer a one size fits all approach. Our tutors tailor the lessons and sessions to individual student needs. We have special education teachers on staff as well as credentialed general education teachers. In addition to customized tutoring, we offer supplemental instruction in addition to remedial and review sessions. We also do AP test prep, SAT, ACT and ISEE.

I had been teaching and tutoring almost 10 years when I started Beach Cities Tutoring. I decided to take a year off from teaching to take a private homeschooling job and the family really wanted to pay a business rather than an individual since it was a year long assignment. They offered to help me get started with my business license and bank account. Although I knew nothing about business and was not too savvy with technology, I decided to create a tutoring website. Needless to say it needed a lot of professional help. After the website was set up, I designed a business plan and model. I worked hard to promote BCT through networking and SEO building. Finally, I had to hire a team of tutors. This would be one of the most important and fun aspects of the business. I got to connect with all sorts of amazing people.
