There are many great types of fundraising events out there, the problem is finding one that is unique and not already being done all over your area. We do a fishing tournament, golf outing, and a couple of other things that are specific to our industry. Our local Boys & Girls Club does something called a Suitcase Party that was a complete hit here locally and no one else is doing it, nor do I think they would dare to. Be sure to check events that your local chamber and home builders association are doing so you're not competing with them. 5K and 10K runs are very popular if marketed correctly, especially for a health cause. If you have a network between your local affiliates, see what other local offices are doing and see if you can plagiarize for your area.
