Ours is one of touting the good work of one of our local banks who could not have been any more helpful as we waded through the application process for the PPP. Republic Bank, based in Louisville, KY, made helping our business get the PPP loan a priority of the first order. Our banker and banking assistant were incredible. We felt as if we were their only client, which I know we weren’t. Not only were they committed to helping us know exactly what paperwork was required to obtain the loan, but our individual representative worked nights until 9:00-10:00pm on three straight days helping us get all the documentation necessary. They made it personal, as I am sure they did for all their clients. We are a small business (19 employees), who will never forget their approach in our hour of need. And neither will our employees.

That doesn't mean we have all the solutions to the question(s) or the marketing plan that will solve them all in that time frame, but we acknowledge we are aware and moving toward a solution in a responsive manner. Most companies are calling after they have discovered a need. In that email, we would provide a time frame for our answer to their question and the development of the marketing program that will accomplish the objectives. So, listening, responding and setting the wheels in motion are all connected.

You have created a new relationship and when you deliver, they don't "get burned" but rather will feel they have found a solid and more cost effective solution.

It is always good to go with what you know. What makes your Boutique something that the Cruise Passengers would value as unique from your area or a keepsake of a great vacation memory? What makes your Boutique something that the Cruise Passengers would value as unique from your area or a keepsake of a great vacation memory? Are your products unique to your area? If so let them know about them and where you are located. They are planning their time on shore as they cruise to the next location. Make what you have, do or can provide one of the most interesting things they will see and hopefully purchase and they will make a point to stop by your boutique.

How often do you do new things, launch new products, have good advice or experiences to share within your industry? My guess is the answer will be every day or all the time. Your Facebook page can be an assist in keeping you in the mix and fresh to potential customers and current clients. Your website is still a landing page for people to learn more about you. It doesn't have to change as often, but make sure it stays relevant.

In this day and age...go digital. Identifiable metrics, demos and reach for reasonable dollars if well placed and monitored. Define who you are trying to reach, determine what they are trying to do...and then go help them do it. (more) In this day and age...go digital.
