My dream is to help people become the person they were born to be. Many times people don't get to do what they love till they retire from their "job". Once there you need the money to have the freedom to live your passion. That is hard to do when everybody has their hands in your pocket. From the customer side, we also didn't like home advisor. We had the say problems in reverse. At first 3 providers called us but then we couldn't get them to call us back. Finally hired one guy, he told us that kind of a valve on a toilet couldn't be replaced, but tried to tighten it and charged us for the call. I call the manufacturer and they said the statement wasn't true. Sent me the parts for free and I did it myself in a few minutes. Also we had specifically asked for Longmont businesses and all the calls came out of North Denver. We have not used Home Advisor's since. Now me as a business I have gotten referrals from Angie's list and didn't even know I was on there. I also find "nextdoor" works well for many types of businesses. I am currently signing a new contract with a facebook expert, we have had excellent results when you have someone who knows how to do it. Good luck
