Consider joining the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and attend their events. Also, if they have leads groups, join one and get involved. You can help them find new business opportunities, and vice versa. It's a win-win, and you get to meet some wonderful people also!

All of the answers I've read are excellent. Some more suggestions on where to get clients: Go to churches where there are Seniors groups. They often go on trips together (shorter ones and longer ones). Have a couple of "package" type ideas ready to show them to whet their appetite. There are also youth groups that go on trips. (Ours go on ski trips every year). Join a Chamber of Commerce and get into one of their leads groups. You help each other gain clients. Too expensive? Visit a couple of times (or at least whatever their limit for visiting is). Go to the gym and talk to people. Perhaps even offer the gym or karate/tae kwon do schools, ski clubs and other organizations some ideas where groups there could go on trips. They might even want to do something based around some particular event of interest to them. Our water aerobics class frequently go together on trips (overseas and domestically).
Advertise a "Graduation Package" for families to take a last trip together before their child takes off to college, etc. All groups are made up of individuals who also need personal travel guidance. Do a good job, and they will continue to use you!
Also, go to the concierge of hotels - they always have people who need to make changes, want ideas, etc. Partner up with them, even if you have to split some of the commission. A little of a lot adds up!
Are you near very small towns? Find the class of 1992, or 1966 yearbook and see if you can locate any of the class officers. Find out if they are considering a 25th or 50th reunion, etc. You could put together a fun weekend somewhere, etc.
Always, always, though, make sure you follow-up with every single person whether or not they use you! Make sure the name of your agency is easy to remember! Stay in contact with everybody - easy in this day and age of email. Just make certain everything you send out is grammatically correct, etc.
In addition, consider speaking at any of these groups. Groups are always looking for speakers! Tailor your speech to what would be interesting to them, travel-wise or not! You have a story. Go to women's and men's groups and ask to speak about how you climbed out of your homelessness to begin this new venture. You will be encouraging to them, telling them they too can overcome obstacles in their life. There are hosts of opportunities. Jump on every one of them! You have the passion! Share it with others! "O, the places you will go!!!"

When my father's health began to deteriorate, this 100 pound weakling also could not handle him physically, along with other problems. I met with Hospice and they were wonderful! They sent an aide 2-3 times per week to bathe him, a nurse came in once per week (or more often if I called them with any concerns), they gave me welcome advice and support, the chaplain would visit regularly, etc. He lived another 7 months but was well taken care of, and our relationship actually strengthened during that time. Many people don't realize that Hospice is not just for the very end. There are many difference Hospice organizations. Find one that you feel comfortable with, and allow them to use their skills while you are working with your own. Your mom will be happier, and so will you! And yes, call on neighbors to come by to sit with her for little periods of time. I bet they have already asked you how they could help. Let them!

Depending upon your location and if you have a little bit of room outside, you could invite small groups of kids (like a karate school, cheerleading club, etc.) who aren't old enough to drive but the parents would have to bring them, to give a demonstration. The parents most likely would come into the store (and grandma and grandpa might come along, too!) You could consider giving them a small discount that day for any purchase, etc. You could advertise it at their clubs, but also on your social media for the locals to come out and see the kids, etc., and they could get a discount that day too!
Ask the question: "If someone very close to you were to describe you in one word, what word would they use, and why?" This opens up a whole field of available discussion points and speaks to their personality as well as their self-perception.

In addition to all the great answers you've already received (although I didn't read them all), since it looks like you are a cell phone dealer, how about: A contest for middle schoolers (signed off as an original submission by their parents) who have to write a small essay/draw a picture, etc., about what the next cell phone will look like/do/etc. Winner gets a free phone accessory, etc. Or invite individuals or small groups (2-4) of middle/high schoolers (parents will have to bring them) to briefly sing/play an instrument/do a demonstration inside or right outside your store. (You could partner with a music/dance/karate/art school.) Key is to have something where the parents have to bring their kids, who will all want or soon be needing cell phones and accessories, and parents will also be looking at your offers.

1. Go on a trip yourself, and consider doing a video blog from there every day with different scenery in each video. People will love the blogs, almost feel like they are there with you, and hopefully will want to schedule a trip there, or want to schedule their travel through you because you made it seem fun and easy! Or just video blog in your area...people watching will want to fly/drive to see these sites. 2. Is there an area where you are particularly knowledgeable? Schedule and advertise a trip with you as the host guide! 3. Find a group of high powered executive assistants (perhaps through the local American Bar Assn., etc.) who handle the travel for their executives. Ask to speak to their group about travel. Then plan a free 2 day "FAM" type trip for the first 6 or so of them who sign up to experience some places to send their executives. 4. Talk to some wedding/event planners and/or attend an even to see if you can help with the travel needs of out-of-town guests. 5. Have a seminar for the newly engaged where you talk on specific relevant topics (and offer a special honeymoon package, etc.) You could even partner with a wedding planner, caterer, baker, etc., etc., and make it a fun and informative time for all! And/or offer to host a seminar (and speak on travel) at Macy's or something like that in conjunction with their bridal registry, cooking for the soon-to-be-bride in their pots & pan department, or in the back-to-school section with something re parents traveling (and their child) back and forth to their college (like the do's and don'ts of kids traveling, etc.) If you think out-of-the-box, you will become more unique, interesting, and hopefully grow your business in areas that are within your fingertip reach. May take a little bit of time, and maybe a little money, but you can be creative on the money side, too! Just my 2 cents worth.

There is so much offense in this world! Seems like people are always looking for it, and they absolutely can find it! Take the gift (because that's what it is), and just be grateful! If there is a hidden message, it has probably already been brought up in many other ways. Don't go looking for one! There is also the possibility that you have mentioned in the past, whether you remember it or not, that you would like to either lose weight, get in shape, feel better, etc., etc. Most likely, it was just something nice he thought you might like to have. It could have been a blender, or a string of pearls. The fact is, it's a gift. Be gracious, and use it if you want. The great thing about a gym membership is the final fact that it will help you get and remain healthy! No down side to that!
