Through a very difficult 2020, I have had the opportunity to reconnect and remember what truly matters. As we have worked hard to help hundreds of new clients, those who lost their jobs and health coverage especially, their appreciation also gives us hope moving forward. We have spread the message about real health and how important it is for our physical and mental health to take a walk outdoors, eat better (more greens and fewer sugars), have positive thoughts, meditate and support each other. I have shared meditation breaks with my clients, helping them keep their teams motivated and reduce stress. As more and more people understand the power of meditation, I see a bright future ahead, one with less anxiety and worry as people incorporate inner peace and connection into all aspects of their lives.  It gives me hope to appreciate the little things in life, like waking up in the morning and being able to see the sun.  These small things are what makes life wonderful. And together all these things make me optimistic for a blessed 2021.

We saw some crucial moments early on that helped clients feel more secure, such as when the carriers stepped in and began elevating coverage, and most services went remote. Our clients were extremely appreciative when they saw insurance companies quickly approve covering the costs of Covid tests, and taking the lead on health and wellness conversations. They also see immense value in online appointments, telemedicine, virtual events and diagnostics. One thing that we offer, that most agencies do not, are 'Stress Reduction Breaks' and other meditation programs, led by A+ Insurance CEO Naama O. Pozniak. While we have been promoting the practice of meditation for many years, during the pandemic we have seen a large increase of people requesting custom programs and meditation sessions, not only to help manage stress and anxiety but also to build team camaraderie, culture, and trust at a time when staffs are working remotely.

We further implemented a new system this year that can review your part D (prescriptions) and Medicare Advantage options. It is critical for Medicare recipients to review these plans annually – the current review period opened October 15th and runs through December 7th for a January 1st. effective date. To maintain social distancing, we are currently serving clients via live chat online at www.rightplan.com, over Zoom connection or over the phone. Reviewing your current coverage is truly important and NOW is the time.

What is behind what they are saying (or not saying)? We are experiencing the largest, most unfortunate global health crisis, and regardless of the current pandemic, our healthcare system here in the U.S has been broken for too long. The bottom line is that we need to take our health in our own hands and understand the real meaning of being healthy and what will it take to heal.  #VoteKindness

As the world continues to be upside down, one thing we all can agree on is that we won’t know exactly how we will be celebrating the holiday season. Many states in the U.S. are still under serious social distancing, so many people are lacking access to healthcare innovations and resources, and millions have been laid off and gotten sick. There are also many of us who are now suffering from PTSD due to the COVID crisis, and all of this is happening while the country is divided and we are all behind masks. Not to mention we have the elections coming up next month!   I see the 2020 holiday season as a period of completion, and at the end of this year, we will look back on a year that changed history all at once. Personally, I do believe in connecting to our hearts and finding a way to love ourselves in a simple way. I strongly believe that by the end of December, or around that time, we will be able to feel better, lighter, and focus. We again, have to continue supporting and helping each other however we can. It will be crucial to help people that lost their loved one, jobs, security, food, and shelters around these holidays. It has never been more important than now!   In my work life, the holiday season is traditionally the busiest, as since 2013, each year during November and December we have to make decisions about the upcoming year for our healthcare. This is the time to review your insurance coverage and decide if you need to make changes for the upcoming year of health benefits.   We are prepared to work through this busy season in the 'new now' by adopting distance consultations via Zoom, live chat, phone and email, and encourage our clients to start early to avoid a last-minute rush. While the holidays will have a different vibe this year, we will get through it by making sure to support each other and affirm that we really don’t need more than few people around us that we can trust to share with and allow healing to happen. And remember, “this too shall pass.”

(more) Currently, we are seeing rebates as this is the first time in history that individuals and families are getting their money back on their healthcare premium. The insurance carriers had to file their 2021 premium by March 2020. As a result of the Coronavirus season there have been much lower ER visits as well as limited access to care, and no elective surgeries, which caused an underutilization of access to care. We are seeing more people take care of themselves as the fear to access care is higher than getting the actual care. Some people are not getting what they need and instead are learning and adapting to a new way of healing and taking care of themselves as real health is about eating well, sleeping well, taking care of your immune system. It is all about prevention!  Learning to access care in a way that will support you when you need, especially your stress and mental state. Some of our clients have already started moving towards self and intelligent care and are using these modalities of access to care and have been able to prevent a major crisis in their healthcare. It is a very difficult, challenging time for us all. Stay well and positive.

(more) For people who are new to the business world, I would share that you need to set specific goals, work on your mission, and work hard to set it up, start it, run it, and don’t let go of the vision. You should always take baby steps. Have a clear set of goals and set a specific time for achieving and enhancing. You might want to make sure there is space for leverage as well because if you are not able to meet those goals in the set timeframe you will only demotivate yourself and that is not something you want. Then create a strategy on how you plan to reach your goals. Do your research, analyze and see what will work best for your company. Then all you have to do is work hard, be consistent, and stick to achieving your goals. We can assure you that the process is surely worth it as you will reach your dream. :)
