We instituted enhanced infection control protocols recommended by the CDC and the ADA to address Covid19 over and above the Standard Protocols instituted years ago to address HIV, Hepatitis and the Ebola virus.

Now more than ever is the best time to see a dentist because of the enhanced infection control protocols implemented in dental offices. For our part, we revamped the whole office while we were closed for three months since March. We didn't return to work until June 16th. We took all the CDC recommended protocols and run with them. We check patients temperatures before they even get inside our building. Anyone hitting 100F is requested to re schedule.We provided hand wash stations and shoe covers as well as hand sanitizers before patients enter the operatories. And sneeze guards to separate the front desk staff from the patients. We enclosed all operatories and installed equipments to produce "negative air pressure" so that air from one operatory does not go anywhere but out the building. We have several HEPA air purifiers all over the whole office. We also provided each operatory an "extra-oral aerosol vacuum system" so we don't have to move the units. We have automatic fogging machines and UV Germicidal lights for each operatory for enhanced infection control. Our doctor and staff are provided with adequate and correct PPE. Re-usable gowns are laundered in our in house laundry facility.Our patients are electronically provided all paper work prior to their appointments so they don't spend time at the reception area filling out forms. We meticulously time each appointment so that there are no folks seating in our waiting room if we can help it. All in all, we got nothing but praises from our patients for the resources and efforts we spent so that everyone will be safe. Our patients are happy, the staff is happy and that's all we need for me to be happy as well. Oh yes, we are back in full force although patient load for each day is reduced to give time to do our infection control protocols.
