Consider an iPad in a custom display politely off to the side of a clean wall of a few prints. Look at how proper fine art galleries display their artist vs a coffee shop or regional gallery. All my prints are frameless, typically and canvas with 2-inch stretcher bars. Create the experience of an artist vs a service provider and you should get a better clientele and personal experience. Basically, any physical presentations should have a minimalistic look and feel.

Regardless, I made 10s of thousands doing it and leaned how to close a lead. Like many industries these days it's a pay to play and if you don't want to do it that way get ready to sweat for it.
I see a new breed of creatives who arrive with financial independence. They are talented, intelligent, and creative. Be prepared to compete with people who just dont need the money. Its luck, timing, skill, and will.

Im seeing a lot of check scams coming through text. The give away is that they aren't interested in talking about the project, just about cashing the check and distributing funds. Often they wont talk on the phone and will have an odd excuse like they are deaf. Any of the projects I was...

Im seeing a lot of check scams coming through text. The give away is that they aren't interested in talking about the project, just about cashing the check and distributing funds. Often they wont talk on the phone and will have an odd excuse like they are deaf. Any of the projects I was suspicious of I quickly asked them to send the check and then had my bank verify the check was fraud. So far we have received about 5 of these fraudulent deposit checks for s2000-5500 and spotted them all without any losses.
