Rockin' Rhythms Music
Rockin’ Rhythms music classes are developmentally appropriate musical experiences that allow you and your child to nurture your child’s musical potential in a playful and fun environment.
Participants are encouraged to vocalize, move, listen, and play percussion instruments, as they develop rhythm, confidence, and a beginning musical vocabulary.
Classes include classical music, world music, nursery rhymes, and lots of children’s music compositions original to Rockin’ Rhythms Music.
Classes are year round, with new content introduced every three weeks! We currently offer classes at My Gym Louisville.
Julie has loved music and the performing arts since she was a young child herself. She grew up singing, learning to play instruments (clarinet, french horn, and piano!), particpating in choirs and chamber vocal groups, marching and concert bands, and district musicals.
Julie pursued her musical education in both college and graduate school, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music from Cornell College and her MDiv in Worship from Southern Seminary. She has worked with youth in various roles as a worship leader, teacher, and youth counselor for over 10 years, including teaching another early childhood music program for about 4.5 years. She has always loved songwriting, and is having fun creating original music for Rockin’ Rhythms! Julie is a paid vocalist and worship leader, and loves rocking out with The Bridge band at St. John UMC, and working with all of the great families and staff at My Gym Louisville.
