We are full service pet care providers based in Madison, Mississippi. We specialize in vacation pet sitting, daily pet care (walking, dog park, playtime, etc) and a pet taxi service (to the vet, groomer, errands, grandma's house, anywhere, both in and out of state.

If the client is more than 10 miles from the sitters home I charge $3 extra per visit. But I wouldn’t go more than 25 miles one way.

Hey Eleanor, I use Quickbooks accounting software to invoice my clients online and keep track of the sales, expenditures and net profit. I mark all my invoices “amount due upon receipt” I can see when they’ve opened the email, when they’ve paid and when the money gets deposited into my account,...

Hey Eleanor, I use Quickbooks accounting software to invoice my clients online and keep track of the sales, expenditures and net profit. I mark all my invoices “amount due upon receipt” I can see when they’ve opened the email, when they’ve paid and when the money gets deposited into my account, occasionally I’ve had people who send their payments in late (in excess of 24 hours) or don’t pay at all, In those cases I email or text a reminder, if they don’t respond a phone call, if they still don’t respond a visit to their house. If none of those things work I eat the money and won’t provide service again until they pay. That’s about all you can do unless opt to take them to small, very small claims court.

Hey Janet, that is frustrating, I live in a very large affluent suburban area outside our Capitol city which means we have a lot of volume, someone/some family is always going out of town for business or vacation we’re slammed every month with our repeat and new customers. That said the pet sitting is a side gig for me, I’m retired military and I give most of my business to my son and daughter.
I send helpful dog and cat health care videos weekly via text and keep my business Twitter, Instagram and FB pages current.

hmmm, that's a good question, my business is in home sitting but we don't stay in the home, we visit 3 times daily to walk feed, playtime, etc., we'rethe alternative to boarding/doggie day care. Google search.
