We used a bank line of credit until we were able to start putting something back every once in awhile so when the lean times come we are able to function. We have since canceled the line of credit.

We try to shop local as much as possible, our community is not large 5000 population so we are forced to go to the larger ones nearby. We do some online when products are not available in our area.

You have to sell yourself as being more professional and better than the other guys, not necessarily less expensive but competitive.

We are primarily residential, we have on occasion done some small commercial projects. We have found if it is for one of our residential customers we don't have many issues but when we have worked as a sub for a large company they can be very demanding in time expectations. The additional...

We have found if it is for one of our residential customers we don't have many issues but when we have worked as a sub for a large company they can be very demanding in time expectations. The additional requirements create less profits and the relationships are not there.
First off I can only assume this is a competitor in the mall, I would approach this person and invite them to coffee at the nearest place and ask whats up? Remain calm and just ask what if any thing have i done to offend you. Your real customers will stick up for you. Remember good competition...
