Deborah has been working in New York State Courts for almost as long as she has been working in the industry which is 40 plus years. Deborah is one of the most qualified Jewelry Appraisers in the World. There are currently less than 6 people that have her quantifications in the entire World.THE ONLY ICGA and certified Laboratory in New York! She has a real passion, and love to help others out with the truth. The Jewelry Industry is a filthy type of business. Mrs. Villepigue entered the jewelry industry as a person who would make jewelry on the bench. When she was getting to know her colleagues in this area, they were liars and people with NO ethics, and she knew 30 years ago that she needed to make a change!

Deborah works very hard to get her qualifications and masters under her belt; then she opened her own company. She has achieved her dreams of now being able to help the buyer & seller out with what she has accomplished already in my career, helping people and also other Nations in Africa, the Middle East, and India.
She can now help people find the TRUTHS regarding all Gemstones, precious metals, Diamonds, Silverware and much more. She has a portable lab that The American Gem Society (AGS) certified, which is the highest and most respected Lab in the World. Mrs. Villepigue is proud to have received from her experience and many years of education to be awarded the prestigious title of Independent Certified Gemologist Appraiser (ICGA). Deborah was awarded the title of Advanced Personal Property Appraiser (APPA). She talks on behalf of the Bar Association and many other public speeches on how to buy the Gems & Jewelry. She also teaches on how to sell, liquidate or donate different items properly. Deborah is USPAP Certified, and the IRS accepts all Reports.

Mrs. Debòrah A Villepigue is a highly respected member of the jewelry industry. Deborah was awarded the prestigious title of Independent Certified Gemologist Appraiser (ICGA) and an Advanced Personal Property Appraiser (APPA), from The American Gem Society (AGS).

Deborah is actively involved in the jewelry business since 1986. As The Jewelry Appraiser Inc., she maintains an office and American Gem Society (AGS) Certified gemological laboratory at 1295 Northern Blvd. suite #15 Manhasset, New York, 11030. She is the ONLY qualified Jewelry Appraiser In all of New York STATE. She is currently a full-time Independent Appraiser of Gems, Jewelry, and all Metals. The Jewelry Appraiser Inc. is an Independent Certified and Accredited Gem Laboratory, the only designated one in New York State. We neither buy nor sell. Most Courts accept the Jewelry Appraiser Inc. appraisals, the US Government, the IRS, US Customs, Law Enforcement Agencies, all insurance companies, as well as by jewelers and other businesses. Mrs. Villepigue's appraisals are used to determine the identification and value for all jewelry (estate and modern) and metals (precious and base).

Debòrah maintains a current data file for her past appraisals for a period of 7 years. Her library includes authoritative appraisal manuals and current price indexes, as well as reference books and trade periodicals. Debòrah’s gemological education has earned her the Graduate Gemologist (GG) Degree from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Advanced Gemological and Appraisal training has earned her the title of Advanced Personal Property Appraiser (APPA) and Independent Certified Gemological Appraiser (ICGA). Mrs. Villepigue is the only one to hold this title in New York State and 1 of 15 in the World. She also has earned the Registered Master Valuer (RMV) degree, the first of such in New York. As a graduate of the Bulova School of Jewelry, she has earned the title of Graduated Master Jeweler (GMJ). She is a past officer of the Gemological Institute of America Alumni Association (GIA-Alumni). She is still an active member of the Alumni. She is an active charter member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), also a member of The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA). Debòrah is a member of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) which helps to maintain honesty and integrity in the jewelry industry. She is also a current member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, as well as The American Society of Jewelry Historians. Debòrah is active in many different jewelry organizations in the World. She is a member of the local organization to help better her community.

Debòrah continues her education and training through The American Society of Appraisers, the Gemological Institute of America, the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, the Forensics of Gemology, the American Gem Society and the International School of Appraisers (ISA).
Various courts throughout New York State have retained Deborah, The Jewelry Appraiser Inc., on numerous occasions for expert witness testimony in Civil, Criminal also Federal. She also works with different District Attorneys on the Forensics of jewelry to determine a value for prosecution or defense, criminal matters and civil matters even for which State and Federal inheritance taxes divorce and Estate Appraisals. Debòrah is one of the primary Jewelry Appraisers for New York State.

Debòrah has extensive experience in all phases of the jewelry industry. She was a buyer of Colored Gemstones, Pearls, and Diamonds for television productions and significant retailers starting in the '80s. She also was a designer and manufacturer of jewelry for major catalogs that have circulated in the US and internationally. Her expertise in Colored Gemstones, Diamonds, Cultured Pearls, and Natural Pearls was greatly enhanced during her employment as a consultant & designer for American Express in the Fine Jewelry Department.
