How We Got Started

I became passionate about massage and bodywork over the last 15 years when I saw the changes it instilled in my own body with my scoliosis. My love of playing sports brought on various aches and pains. When I received regular massage and stretching sessions, it kept me running and performing better.

My education at Atlanta School of Massage provided a great base of massage techniques. I have furthered my education by studying with sports and therapeutic massage professionals that have been in the industry for at least 25 years. I was one of the massage therapists that worked with the Atlanta Legends football players of the Alliance of American Football (AAF) league.

I became a Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in Corrective Exercise to have a better understanding of functional movement and patterns of dysfunction. I can help you retrain the nervous system and brain. I look forward to helping you with your short-term and long-term wellness goals.

Their passion for cooking comes through in their food. So good. They also have gluten and dairy free options. This is some of my favorite comfort food."

I offered virtual sessions with self-myofascial massage techniques to a few of my regular clients.  It's been difficult finding PPE, hand sanitizer, and digital thermometer. It took about 1.5 months to procure it all.  It has been challenging for all of the licensed massage therapists to be referred to massage parlors by media and politicians. In most states we are fully a licensed position who have passed a state board exam.  Some clients are still scared to come back. Some don't want to wear a mask during the hour long session. A few are in such pain, they are choosing to come in. I do an extensive interview and have an intake form specifically for COVID-19 and other contagious diseases. There is no guarantee that a client isn't asymptomatic. My business will remain to be slow, as I must allow more time between clients. I am relying on the PUA and FPUC to help me cover expenses for all the PPE I had to purchase in order to open my door, and to cover the loss of income over the next few months. These funds will help to pay for rent later, should we see an upsurge in cases in the Fall. I'll be forced to close if this happens.  Successes: I get to focus on my family and create other ways to bring in income should I have to close my doors in the Fall. (Health & Wellness Coaching Certification over the next few months)

I send it in a newsletter twice. Once with advance notice, and another with a reminder. I allow people to buy multiple sessions at the old rate before the increase. I also remind them in person when I see them, and post a notice on the wall for all to read. (more) I send it in a newsletter twice. Once with advance notice, and another with a reminder.
