Meet Kimberly C. Lyons, the Founder and Principal Designer at KCL-IDESIGN, LLC® Interior Design Studio.

Kimberly embodies her calling and is making her signature mark in interior design. She is unwavering in her commitment to creating spaces that resist fleeting trends. With a vibrant enthusiasm for adding a striking wow factor to the most ordinary elements, she embraces her unique approach and thrives on transforming environments with her distinct flair.

Her passion is evident in her love for bold colors, captivating artwork, one-of-a-kind decorative items, and modern architecture. Kimberly enjoys pushing boundaries and defying outdated design norms, all rooted in her heartfelt philosophy of designing from within—the essence of the space reflects the soul of its inhabitants. Her mantra, "I dare you," fuels her drive to collaborate with those who need timeless interiors that tell their story.

In addition to crafting unforgettable spaces and staying spiritually grounded, Kimberly is an adventurous world traveler who finds beauty in the unconventional. Her vibrant personality shines through in her hobbies, which include shopping, reading, expanding her knowledge, and indulging in cute stilettos and milk chocolate.

Kimberly exemplifies her motto: "I live - breathe - love interior design." Her infectious passion and positivity make every collaboration a joyful and unforgettable experience!

How We Got Started

From the beginning, KCL-IDESIGN, LLC blossomed from a passionate love for vibrant colors, setting the stage for a thrilling journey in interior design! Kimberly firmly believes that nothing else in this world compares to the power of color. She created beautiful residential interiors before earning her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design with honors. Kimberly's achievements include a high GPA and membership in the National Technical Honor Society and the Kappa Pi Honor Society. Her expertise extends to commercial and global design as well.

With the perfect blend of education and hands-on experience, she built her interior design studio from the ground up, taking on the roles of Founder and principal designer.

Kimberly draws inspiration from her childhood love of bright colors, such as Crayola Crayons and Play-Doh, which motivates her to create stunning color palettes.

As an interior designer, I know it can depend on the situation. It would be easy to say not to meet at a coffee shop or cafe, but if a problem arises and the client is not at home and calls me to chat quickly, then I will do what I need to do. And this happens to me all the time. Suddenly, a... (more) As an interior designer, I know it can depend on the situation. It would be easy to say not to meet at a coffee shop or cafe, but if a problem arises and the client is not at home and calls me to chat quickly, then I will do what I need to do. And this happens to me all the time. Suddenly, a client called who was not home; they were out shopping and needed me to meet them to see an item. We met at the closest coffee shop, and I must say that it was one of the most productive meetings. Neither a client's home nor my office should take precedence over the client's needs and should not be the only place to discuss a design project. And this is especially true if the client desperately needs to see me on the spur of the moment for a quick conversation. I recently had a client call me at the last minute while I was on my way home, asking me to see a flooring sample and get my opinion. She suggested meeting at the nearest coffee shop, and it turned out to be a great meeting. So, sometimes being creative is more than just trying to stay professional, because professionalism applies everywhere. When a client needs help, addressing the issue is more important than meeting in a specific space. Showing the client that you will go above and beyond always makes a good first impression.

Will the new company only cater to custom furnishings, decor, and related items? There is nothing like a unique chandelier or sconce to change the entire atmosphere of a space.
