About Us

Supportive Minds is a wellness and empowerment brand founded by Army veteran and autistic parent Mary Stanley. We help individuals, families, and professionals embrace their minds, emotions, and potential through trauma-informed care, coaching, and community. We don’t force people to fit systems—we change systems to fit them.

📍 U.S.-based, global reach | 🎙️ Host of Cracking the Spectrum & more

How We Got Started

Supportive Minds was founded by Mary Stanley, an Army veteran, autistic adult, and mother of two autistic children. Our journey began from lived experience—navigating systems that often silence, shame, or try to “fix” neurodivergent people. Frustrated by these broken approaches, Mary created a space where individuals and families could find understanding, support, and empowerment without masks or pressure to conform.

What started as a personal mission to help her own family grew into a movement: offering trauma-informed programs, coaching, and community resources that help people embrace their minds, emotions, and potential. We don’t force people to fit systems—we change systems to fit them.

The camaraderie, sacrifices, and shared experiences have shaped me in profound ways, instilling within me a deep sense of duty and resilience. However, my journey took a unique turn when I became a mother to two incredible children, both of whom are on the autism spectrum. Parenthood brought a new set of challenges, but it also introduced me to the beauty of neurodiversity and the power of unconditional love. Driven by my experiences, I embarked on a path of holistic healing, specializing in trauma recovery for fellow veterans, service members, and first responders. My mission is deeply personal; it's about giving back to those who have served and supporting individuals facing their own battles with trauma. I believe in a holistic approach to healing—one that addresses the mind, body, and spirit. Through a combination of traditional therapeutic techniques, faith, and community support, I empower individuals to reclaim their lives and discover a renewed sense of purpose. My brand is rooted in unity and understanding. I advocate for neurodiversity, striving to create a world where every journey is met with empathy and support. I'm committed to breaking down stigma, fostering resilience, and building transformative lives. Join me on this journey of hope and healing, where stories of courage converge, and together, we rise stronger than before. Being on Alignable has given me a bigger platform to share my story and connect with individuals that are similar fields and we collaborate and share information to help others. I am still pretty new to this platform and I am looking to expand and be more involved.
