The failure to manage all of the assistance programs collectively has caused great harm and a lack of confidence. Opening up businesses will not work if we don't have confident clients. What will the economy look like a year from now? Terrible for the people who have been left behind. If you are looking for a indicator of economic confidence, ask the seed people about sales to all those out planting gardens believing the economy is going to get worse, way worse, for those with only a couple bucks left in their pocket

Last year government made big payments to keep agriculture going, but it ended up mostly paying old debt. The big question in the economy, will creditors attack debtors ? In the housing crisis it was a free for all of foreclosures, bankruptcy, seizures, across the Nation. I already see that starting to happen.

As government allows opening  of the economy and people forget about the closure of the economy , quietly the banks, investors, government agencies will foreclose on everything they can find a way to take. That has been the case in the past. But we have never seen such a economic disaster as the current crisis. I expect massive takings. Yes, I own a business.

The phone has stopped ringing. We have 25 years experience selling at this site. I have been here before. The problem is Oregon government at all levels has never shown the slightest interest in being helpful. Land taxes, permits, irrigation bills, and many other bills will be aggressively pursued this spring. We will see business doors close. The governor has signed a executive order on cap and trade, pushing overhead up, for small business and rural areas, at the worst possible time. In 1995 Oregon adapted extreme policy requiring homes and businesses to convert to natural gas, in mass. The state couldn't manage and by 2000 the whole project was in bankruptcy, dragging many with it. We need a steady hand right now, and I don't see it, and apparently many consumers don't either.

Need to make some money to pay people, always a start up problem. In the beginning of a business a owner must come up with a gut sense about products and services, you can't hire marketing if you can't say or produce written directions! This is a period new business must endure. (more) Need to make some money to pay people, always a start up problem.
