Network.  I met and got to know my "preferred lender" by joining a networking group.  I prefer to get to know people first before I work with them.  Note - I get so many calls from leads programs, magazines, etc. wanting my business, that I kindly tell them I'm not interested - I get tired of the long sales pitch.  If you have a publication, then send samples to the realtor/mortage persons. Then follow up with a call.
