I am a criminal defense attorney and I represent people who have been charged with DWI/DUIs, drug charges, theft charges, assault charges in addition to other crimes people can be charged with. I cover the metro area as well as out lying areas. I am also licensed in Wisconsin.

I do not seek out non-profits. Typically pro-bono work comes from either the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar, and the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. There is also VLN volunteer Lawyers Network, which offers more civil pro-bono work. This would be true for...

I do not seek out non-profits. Typically pro-bono work comes from either the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar, and the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. There is also VLN volunteer Lawyers Network, which offers more civil pro-bono work. This would be true for the other county Bar Associations such as Ramsey, Dakota, etc.
Organizations can certainly contact any of these organizations to consult with regarding pro-bono projects. This last weekend, Hennepin County had a warrant forgiveness program at the north side community center 12th and Penn Ave N., and the Hennepin County Bar was contacted and reached out to member attorneys. I was there as a volunteer and it appears to have been a successful event.
In response to Mr. Crotty, there is the annual Vets stand down and there are numerous attorneys that volunteer from all spectrums of legal fields. On the criminal side there are defense attorneys, prosecutors, and judges that volunteer and we get cases resolved that have been hanging over the heads of veterans for years. It’s been very successful and I’ve been volunteer for that for a number of years. I believe the MVA is the organization that heads it up.
