About Us

Growing up one of my favorite places to be was on a boat. My “uncle” Jimmy Coleman was patient and nice enough to allow and teach a child to join him on the water to catch walleye every spring, summer, and fall on Leech Lake. He showed me the beauty of the world, and how if you hone a craft, you can become successful with your pursuits (no matter what the conditions were).

Photography was an outlet I truly discovered in high school. It was a way I could communicate to the world the beauty I saw. My first photography class was in junior high though, and I was absolutely terrible (my friend had to show me how to load film into my family camera; I was 15). Seeing what others were capturing in the natural world, I wanted to learn as much as possible so I could do the same.

Working with clients to execute commercial projects, working on editorial pieces for publications, and challenging myself out in the world (almost daily) to find interesting subjects are all activities I share a love for with this craft.

No matter how you heard of or found me, I’m grateful you took the time to read about my journey with still photography. I look forward to trying to exceed expectations visually in this medium for the rest of my life!
