"The community work of the Northeast Earth Coalition IN Montclair and neighboring towns is just amazing. The NEEC is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization with over 750 volunteers. They work at community level with schools educating our children about environmental protection, they have six long term environmental projects in Montclair. Last year, the NEEC distributed more than 330,000 pounds of food for people facing food insecurity. The organization received three major awards in 2022. "

My organization, the Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC) has been very active during the pandemic crisis. We created a new community garden to support the high demand of food in our local food programs. We also planted two more to increase the productivity. At the same time, the NEEC started a social media campaign to support our local restaurants and to encourage our community to order food and drinks from them. We saw an opportunity to continue our community outreach and educational programs online. Since the Coronavirus crisis started, we have offered four free webinars for our community. More workshops will be available. The NEEC is a volunteer driven environmental nonprofit organization based in Montclair.
