From rentals for tables, chairs and tents to inflatable games, cotton candy machines, barbecues, casino tables, red carpets and more – we have it all. Nite Mix Entertainment is a professional mobile disco service providing music and entertainment in the greater Montreal region since 1998. We provide a fun and outstanding evening filled with entertainment for you and all of your guests at an affordable price. We offer our services for all types of occasions.

How We Got Started
Mr. Gerardi started out as a DJ in 1998 and in 2005, he officially formed Omega. Since 1998, Omega Design Events specializes in organizing key events and providing rental equipment for all types of events. The company offers table rentals, chairs, tents, inflatable games, cotton candy machines, barbeques, casino tables and red carpet. Mr. Gerardi has a dynamic and professional team of five, and contracts services such as photography, entertainment, waitstaff, caterers and venues.
His specialties include wedding planning, whether for private, lesbian, gay or celebrity couples; milestone events such as vow renewals, Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays and anniversaries; corporate events for openings, incentive or award dinners, product launches, brand activation, galas as well as charity events for nonprofit organizations. He would be pleased to do the same for your event or wedding and offers a complimentary consultation to begin that process.

Sure, sometimes running a business is stressful. But I don’t have a boss making unreasonable demands on me. So how I manage my stress and that work/life balance is completely up to me. I can work myself into a heart attack, but I’d rather spend time with my family and rely on my staff to help me grow my company.
Speaking of staff, if you’re like me, you’re honored to be surrounded by
people who care as much about your business as you do. I attribute this
to hiring the right people, which, once you do, allows you to grow your business so much faster.
Let’s face it: none of us want to work 365 days a year, even if we love what we do. That’s why vacations
and time off are so instrumental in making us more balanced and happier
entrepreneurs. And it’s wonderful not having to worry about whether
we’ve accrued enough time off. I make a point of traveling with my
family several times a year, and I know that my business will survive
without me for a few days.
Where would we be without our smartphones? Twitter? CRM? Not having as
much fun running a business, you can bet. I love discovering some piece
of technology that makes it easier for me to work without working hard. I
can schedule social media updates, check my email, manage client
contact information, and write blog posts easier today than even five
years ago, which frees me up to do lots of other important things.
I don’t know about you, but my company, Omega Design Events,
relies on its strong social following. They’re the people who share our
content, give us feedback on our products, and generally help move us
forward. Without them, we’d be shooting blindly. And I don’t take them
for granted. I personally do my best to interact with our supporters as
often as possible.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever worked on your laptop from bed, your
backyard, or even Bali. Don’t you love being able to get work done
without being tethered to your office every day? Sometimes you need a
change of scenery, and if you can get your work done at a local coffee
shop, I say go for it.
If you’ve ever worked for someone else (and I bet you have) you remember
the feeling of having a fantastic new idea, only for it to be squashed
flat by your unimaginative boss. As an entrepreneur, though, you can
take that idea and make it a reality. Thrilling.
I encourage you to count your blessings now and every day. Being an
entrepreneur — especially a successful one — is a gift not to be taken
for granted.

The business landscape is changing at a rapid pace. It seems like the
government releases new regulations that affect business owners almost
every day.
Fear. Anxiety. Hopelessness. We’re all experiencing a lot of intense
emotions during these ever-evolving times, and entrepreneurs are no
exception. To make it worse, there’s an additional level of stress as
they try to do best by their employees and customers.
It seems like every minute we’re inundated with a relentless flood of
information about COVID-19. While having access to the latest news is
undoubtedly a blessing, it can also be a burden. Information overload is
a very real thing that occurs when there is too much relevant
information being disseminated at the same time.
Your first priority should be the safety and well-being of your
employees. Up next would be communicating with customers. They may not
be in a position to patronize your business, but they still want to be
updated on any changes to its operations. The same goes for other
stakeholders so they know what your status is and what to expect moving
forward.

Connect with people who speak other languages
It’s easy to stick around people who speak the same language,
but in order to improve your communication skills, it’s essential that
you connect with people who do not share your mother tongue. This will
force you to speak one of Canada’s two official languages, and get you
to learn more about your new surroundings. Both activities can then make
it easier for you to build networks and get better job opportunities.
Volunteer, volunteer, volunteer
It may seem counter-intuitive, but the more volunteering you
do, the more likely you will land a job. Volunteering can instantly
expand your network, give you something local to add to your resume, and
increase the good karma coming your way. After all, the more you give,
the more you receive.
Connect strategically
One of the biggest challenges when building a network is connecting with the right people.
This isn’t to say that you have to cynically approach everyone with a
clear idea of what they can do for you, but it can help you figure out
what associations and events, for example, you might want to join and
attend. Set an objective, and be strategic with your time and your
networking efforts – it will pay off.
It’s not all about finding a job
As a balance against that last point, it’s important to
remember that in the end, the objective is to meet people – not just
contacts. The people you meet now, in what can often be a trying period,
can become important friends, offering advice, support, and
recommendations – all of which can simplify and improve life in your new
country.

Non-verbal body language often communicates a very different message from the verbal message a prospect is saying. By missing these hidden sales signals, you’re pitching a deal with one hand tied behind your back.
Technology Works: Have you ever been on a video
conference or even a conference call where the tech totally fails? Me
too. Talk about a distraction. You’re trying to focus on a sales
prospect and get them to focus on you but in reality, everyone is just
thinking about the tech glitch and how it’s making it really hard to
communicate anything.
Small Talk: While it’s not uncommon for everyone to sit
quietly (usually checking email or social media) while waiting for the
official start of a conference or video chat call, the same isn’t true
with face-to-face meetings. Because you’re sitting in a room with
people, it’s considered rude to just stare (and it makes folks
uncomfortable) so folks tend to launch into small talk. Small talk is
where you learn those little insider tips and insights that often mean
the difference between winning and losing a deal. Oh, and then there is
the whole small talk leads to relationship thing.
Relationship Building: When a video conference or
conference call ends, it ends. There is no “after party.” But with
face-to-face meetings, there is the opportunity to extend the meeting
with a tour of the prospect’s offices, coffee, drinks or even
lunch/dinner. All of these are chances to continue having conversations
with your sales prospect – conversations that can turn into customers.
Impact Value: Nothing says I want to work with you like
taking the time to schedule and attend a face-to-face meeting. And I’m
not just talking about your desire to work with your sales prospect. I’m
talking about their desire to work with you too. By agreeing to accept a
face-to-face meeting, the sales prospect is non-verbally signaling that
they are interested in you enough to give you a chunk of their
undivided attention.
