Horizon provides several comprehensive programs intended to severely reduce costs, and increase the efficiency of a clients’ employee substance abuse screening effort. Horizon offers testing for private industry, healthcare facilities, schools, athletic programs, law enforcement, corrections facilities and treatment centers.

The main objective of Horizon Medical Technologies is to provide high quality, novel and advanced in-vitro diagnostic testing for alcohol and drug of abuse. HMT has formed strategic alliances with selected research institutes, Medical Review Officers and SAMHSA certified clinical laboratories, as well as other bio-medical companies for purposes of providing the very best the industry has to offer. The development of a national network has ensured that HMT can develop and provide cost effective diagnostic testing services without sacrificing quality or accuracy. All procedures are evaluated from design inception to meet regulatory requirements of the drug testing industry.

How We Got Started

Horizon Medical Technologies, LLC, (HMT) is a limited liability company formed in West Virginia in 1999 to continue the operations formally known as Horizon Med-Tec, a subsidiary of Genesis Health Ventures. HMT finalized the acquisition from Horizon Med-Tec December 31, 1999 and began operations on January 1, 2000.

Remaining independent of the large corporate testing companies allows Horizon the flexibility to customize client packages that results in a more targeted program. Customizing the drug testing programs eliminates bundled packages which requires purchasing services not being utilized.
