About Us

CK Loves Events is an event company that specializes in events for children. My company has a very special meaning. It was created before my mom passed away. She said to me, “you love children and events, why not put them together to create something you love doing."

How We Got Started

About Me
I have a gift when it comes to children. Years ago, when I was teaching preschool, I learned that being creative and artistic were exactly the perfect ingredients to teach children. They love to experience new things and explore, and what better way to achieve that goal than to allow them to create something entirely on their own, which is what we did as a daily routine. They always came into my classroom excited to see what we were going to create for that day.

I remember a particular art project we did during Dr. Seuss week. Our class made a huge Dr. Suess book. Each child had made their own book of their favorite Dr. Seuss book and we displayed them outside our classroom. Each parent in our class was overjoyed to see each of their child’s creation. As a class, we received many compliments. Everyone in the school loved what we did. A parent from another class asked me, “where do you get your ideas?” That is how event planning started to become an idea.

With Covid cases on the rise and states imposing shutdowns, I think we are a little better equipped with how to deal with this shut down. I think States are getting everyone through the holidays and then come January we probably see more shutdowns. For me as an event planner, I just try to do fun crafts for kids that parents can do at home. Write blogs and makes videos. That’s what I did before, when the entire country shutdown. But I think if we came help all these restaurants and local gyms get by then that is important. It is so difficult for all these small businesses that have put their own life savings into their business and these government shutdowns are really hurting people and their business. There has to be a better way to support these businesses so that they don’t go under. During the summer I went to a local Halmark store and they were going out of business because of Covid. I think they are now under new ownership, which is a positive. But still, we need to help small businesses stay in business. I went to a small business in Chester thats sells candles I needed for the holidays. They said they were doing well despite Covid. But that could change if we see another shutdown. So please do what ever you can to support small businesses. They are the heart and soul of our country. We have to find better ways to support our businesses all over. I do hope and pray theoshutdowns won’t be as long.

From Events, to the restaurant industry to tourism.  I feel for everyone during these extremely difficult hurdles. But I a can say that in these uncertain times all business owners need to really think outside the box. With tourism I would find a creative way to show someone how to plan a vacation on a budget. Share your own travel vacations with potential clients and explain why this was such a wonderful vacation. Create fun virtual vacations. Come up with stay cation ideas and how to make it fun. Make up scavenger hunts for traveling make it a virtual fun game. Make a contest and have clients participate and the winner can receive a presentage off their travel plans if they book their vacation with you. Try to get clients excited about when they can travel by planning their perfect trip. Creat videos and blogs. No is the time to do this because everyone is home. Try to create a travel class for first time travels and try to make some money that way. Hope this helps. Keep Strong.

I think working remotely is fine if you have a nice and enjoy place to be, but if you are in a small place I think it can be extremely and challenging.

But to Andre, I could suggest posting an online work out that you could potentially try to sell to your current clients, especially to keep the little ones occupied. To everyone being effected financially, I think we all have worries, but hopefully from what I reading online, the government is trying to get financial support to people in need and I know companies are being patient with bills coming in late. But Ralph Lopez made a good statement “we will all return to our normal lives.” I know it so hard to not be scared, if you can try being outside or go for a drive if you are allowed, treat yourself to something, just to bring some joy. We all have to stay positive and keep going. I know it’s difficult, but the time will pass. Try to find things at home you need to work on. Remember to be happy and enjoy what ever you are doing and just be grateful for all the things in life you have been given. I know it so difficult, bet let’s all try to support each other and Family, friends, and neighbors and small businesses, such as, local cafes, restaurants, etc. In this time was reminded to be grateful, because early this week, I lost someone very dear to me in one of my organizations, and I had to think today what can I be grateful for about this kind wonderful person. That’s he was so generous and helpful to everyone and to me, when I had lost my mommy. So remember everyone these are times when we need to just be grateful and to see how we can help each other. For people in Morristown, NJ the Hospitals are looking for donations of crocs for patients with the Covin-19. They are having people share. So if anyone can donate to the Hospitals and especially the nurses taking care of all these patients. Please do so!! Some many people have been reaching out to me to make sure I am ok, and I love ❤️ them all for checking me. Make sure you check on people too.  Love to you all!! Things will get better. 😘❤️

I have only been to one BNI event. But, I think all networking groups are pretty much o the same in one way or another. I think the best thing to do is advertise and join the Chamber of Commerce in your local area. It will differently be beneficial.  (more) I have only been to one BNI event. I also, cannot comprehend someone would deliberately damage your personal property, that is beyond appropriate and now entering on the criminal. I know in these difficult times, when job security is really important and finding a new job is not so easy it makes it difficult to figure out what exactly is the right solution. I think if it continues you need to find a another job, but I would look for other employment anyway, because based on what your dealing with doesn’t seem like they would fire you too. Be careful and just do your job.  When my mom worked for Smith Barney. A woman who hated my mom took something off her desk and mailed on purpose to get her in trouble because they hated her so much. And eventually she was let go.  I had the same issue, when I nannied and the woman I worked for hired another nanny to help with the kids, the nanny sabotaged me every chance she had and eventually I left because I was tried of crying and being malined and bullied. And that  even happened ewhen I ran for town council, a woman purposely made up lies just to be mean and then told me we were great friends. What you and probably most people deal with is very unhappy and who get pure enjoyment making others unhappy.  Stick to your heart what you know is right and decide what is the best option and remember what comes around goes around. Just keep doing a great job and doing what you believe is right. But don’t be a door mat for bad behavior. That is unexceptable.

I would suggest your local paper and online paper. Also Nextdoor. com. These are great ways to get your events out in the open and make flyers and had them around town.  (more) I would suggest your local paper and online paper. Also Nextdoor. com. I know you don’t want to purposely offend anyone, but it is difficult when they smell.  You, can make light of the situation, by just saying a few individuals need to practice best office professionalism, and part of that is wearing deodorant and taking a shower.   I am sure you are not the only one. However,  you need to handle the situation, just make it all about being professional. I hope this helps.
