Should quotes be submitted to the prospect before meeting with them to give a presentation?

I sold construction equipment for 18 years and I tried to present the quote to the customer face to face as much as I could (New customers I always presented the quote in person). It is so much better to have the customer sitting in front of you when you talk or present any kind of pricing or information about your product. Once the relationship is established, then the fax and email could come into play if your customer is agreed. A lot of times I would get the conversation rolling and then sit back and listen to what the customer wants and needs. Even the ones that say they won't talk would tell me what exactly they are looking for. So remember, Ask the right questions and listen to your customer and the answers will come. Have a great day!
